The Lower James River and Chesapeake Bay offer some of the most striking scenery, wildlife, and bird watching opportunities anywhere.   Sunrise and sunset cruises are especially popular.    

The James River watershed features the largest bald eagle nesting area on the east coast and up-close sightings are not uncommon.  From bald eagles to porpoises, you never know what you'll see.  In addition, Capt. Mike is a seventh generation Virginia (documented 1739) and will gladly share his extensive knowledge about local landmarks, plantations, and areas of historical interest from colonial days to the Civil War.
